Glen Group Wins Award For New Hampshire State Economic Development Advertising Campaign

A statewide advertising campaign developed by Glen Group of North Conway, NH for the New Hampshire Business Resource Center has been named “Best of Category” in the Northeastern Economic Developers Association’s (NEDA) 2005 Literature & Promotions Competition. The campaign captured a total of five awards in this competition which featured entries from economic development organizations throughout 11 states.

A statewide advertising campaign developed by Glen Group for the New Hampshire Business Resource Center has been named “Best of Category” in the Northeastern Economic Developers Association’s (NEDA) 2005 Literature & Promotions Competition. The campaign captured a total of five awards in this competition which featured entries from economic development organizations throughout 11 states.

Part of the New Hampshire Division of Economic Development, the Business Resource Center encourages the expansion of industrial activity in the state through the attraction of new businesses to New Hampshire and the retention and expansion of existing industries.

The campaign depicts scenes of the extraordinary lengths that a Business Resource Center representative will take to ensure a New Hampshire company’s success—blocking for a Manchester Wolves running back, assisting the pit crew in changing a tire during a race at New Hampshire International Speedway or helping a Nashua Pride outfielder track down a sure home run.

In addition to capturing the “Best of Category” designation in the “Print Ad Campaign” category, the campaign also earned three “Merit” awards in the “Single Print Ad” category as well as an “Excellence Award” for a display created for use at New Hampshire International Speedway.

“We’re thrilled that New Hampshire was recognized by its peers for developing a creative and eye catching campaign,” said New Hampshire Business Resource Center Director, Roy Duddy. “Our Center doesn’t believe in taking a ‘business as usual’ approach and our ads reflect the high level of innovation demonstrated by our staff. We’ll do anything we can to get businesses the answers they need. Sports is a fairly common reference point for many citizens and this campaign, in a fun and thought provoking way, really drives home the point that no matter how big or small your business issue is, we’ll help you find a solution.”

The Northeastern Economic Developers Association (NEDA) was formed in 1956 to promote economic and industrial development in the Northeastern region of the United States. The association encourages an informal exchange of ideas and serves as a medium by which its members can benefit from the experiences of other professionals.
