James Bond Meets Apollo 11 Astronaut
Will Daniel Craig match Sean Connery as Bond? This is your chance to ask Ursula Andress!
(PRWEB) October 22, 2005 -- A unique opportunity will present itself to James Bond fans during the last weekend in October, when the original Bond girl in Dr No, will attend the Autographica event at the Radisson Edwardian hotel at Heathrow.
The event will give Bond fans the chance to find out if the new James Bond Daniel Craig will be a match for Sean Connery. Ursula Andress who played the part of Honey Rider in the first Bond film Dr No, will be making herself available to meet fans over the whole weekend. Also on the menu are many other actors from a number of the James Bond films, including Clifton James ‘J.W. Pepper’ and ‘Felix Leiter’ John Terry.
This will be the first time that Ursula Andress has ever attended such an event, and is a rare visitor to these shores from her home in Rome.
Fans from around the globe will come together on 28th/29th/30th of October in order to meet some of the greatest names from the space, film, and TV and sport worlds. The Radisson Edwardian Hotel at Heathrow will become the centre of attention for autograph collectors of all kinds for 3 days of autograph heaven.
Dr Buzz Aldrin and Charles Duke, 2 of the 12 men to have walked upon the surface of the moon, together with Ursula Andress and many other James Bond guests, will all be available to collectors over the 3 days. Guests will be signing books, photos and memorabilia, and also giving lectures or Q and A sessions.
On the Saturday evening all guests will be attending a special Gala dinner, which will include a Charity auction to raise money for the Astronaut Scholarship Foundation, guest speeches and after dinner entertainment will follow.
Dr Aldrin’s visit will be the first time he has signed items at a public event outside of his native USA. This visit coincides with the recent news that NASA has announced plans to return men to the moon no later than 2020, and no doubt Dr Aldrin will be asked for his thoughts on this new venture.
Ursula Andress appeared in the very first James Bond, Dr No, as Honey Ryder, and also starred in the ‘alternative’ James Bond film, Casino Royale, which coincidentally is to be the title of the next James Bond Film due for release in November 2006.
