In case you have not heard yet, there is a new craze that hit the internet. It goes by many names such as Pixel, Nano and Micro Ads. Whatever you call them they are huge right now. Due to the success of Alex Tew and his Million Dollar Homepage (http://www.milliondollarhomepage.com) many others are trying to duplicate his success.

The people behind Helping Pixel (http://www.helpingpixel.com) saw this opportunity as a chance to do some good in the world. Using the same idea as the Million Dollar Homepage, Helping Pixel plans to raise $900,000 to donate to the American Red Cross. So not only do advertisers get to purchase their spot on the Micro Billboard but they also get to contribute to a good cause.

Currently Helping Pixel is donating to the Katrina Disaster Fund but plans to switch every month to a different American Red Cross cause.

Helping Pixel is managed by Jeremey Knutt, a small town Canadian who saw a place where he could help.

"We know that the concept works already, that has been proven. So now we just need a few advertisers willing to step out and put their money toward an advertising campaign that is really going the extra mile."

Helping Pixel has 1,000,000 pixels for sale to advertisers for $1 each. They are sold in blocks of 10x10 ($100 a block). They plan to keep the site up as long as possible so the advertisers get the best bang for their bucks.

"Even if it takes a year or two to fill the board, that is still $900,000 that gets donated to the American Red Cross! I am not expecting the fast results that Alex Tew got with his site but if it did happen then that would be all for the better!"

There is a lot of prime "real estate" on the Helping Pixel micro billboard still up for grabs. The smart advertisers would get their spot secured now.
