Logicalware Partners with MySQL and Releases a MySQL version of MailManager

Logicalware Ltd, publisher of MailManager the Open Source email response management solution announced today that MailManager has now been ported to MySQL and has been tested and certified for MySQL Network.

(PRWEB) October 23, 2005 -- Logicalware Ltd, publisher of MailManager the Open Source email response management solution announced today that MailManager has now been ported to MySQL and has been tested and certified for MySQL Network.

"With this partnership MailManager will now be available to any of the 6 million MySQL installations around the world and certified to work seamlessly with MySQL Network", said Andrew Veitch, CEO of Logicalware. "Some MailManager customers get many gigabytes of email every month so they need a powerful and scalable database to cope."

"Many companies now depend on MailManager to run their sales or customer sevice teams and for them it is a business critical application," said Bertrand Matthelié, director of alliances at MySQL AB. "These businesses can now deploy MailManager with the confidence that it has been thoroughly tested with MySQL's latest production-ready certified database."

The combination of MailManager and MySQL helps companies deal with their email quickly and efficiently. Managers can keep track of volumes of mail received and performance in dealing with it. Team members dealing with email benefit too with several tools to make their job easier including standard reply templates, a central repository of documents that can be attached to out going mail, automatic prioritization of mail and an email search engine so that the information needed to deal with a customer enquiry can be found quickly.

Butler Group have recently published the first analyst report on MailManager. Analyst Sue Clarke said "E-mail has become a business critical application for many organisations, but there are still not that many products available to manage it, particularly in areas such as response management, and many of those that are available are targeted at the enterprise market. By targeting MailManager at SMEs, Logicalware has found a niche for its product. It has provided a valuable differentiator for itself by being totally open source and through its active community, it is also receiving help in developing the product."
