GuardianEdge Technologies (formerly PC Guardian Technologies), the trusted partner to large organizations that want to reduce the cost and complexity of deploying and managing enterprise-class encryption across multiple mobile devices, today announced that Ralph Clark has been appointed the company’s chief operating officer, and that Jay Foreman has been named senior vice president of worldwide sales.

In his role as GuardianEdge’s COO, Clark’s responsibilities include overseeing the company’s financial health and managing human resources and information technology activities worldwide. Clark has spent much of the last eight years working with technology startups, providing leadership in the financial arena. His most recent role was Chief Financial Officer of Snap Appliance. Also, Clark was the vice president of finance for Ascend Ventures and chief executive officer of Blue Makoi, and he held key management positions at IBM, Goldman Sachs and Merrill Lynch. Clark holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of the Pacific and a master’s degree in business with second-year honors from Harvard Business School.

As senior vice president of worldwide sales for GuardianEdge, Foreman is responsible for developing new sales channels, directing and managing strategic business and technical partnerships, and driving direct and indirect international sales. Foreman joins GuardianEdge from BEA Systems, where he most recently served as vice president and general manager of worldwide sales and partner operations. In four years at BEA, Foreman expanded the company’s worldwide OEM and channel sales activities and extended strategic partnerships with major independent software vendors, systems integrators and other alliance partners. Prior to joining BEA, Foreman was in charge of worldwide sales and business development for DataChannel, which was acquired by Netegrity, and he built the western field operations team for New Era of Networks (NEON), which was acquired by Sybase.
