Class.com Announces New English 9 Sequence

Latest addition to online courseware catalog launches new English series.

Lincoln, NE (PRWEB) October 25, 2005 -- Class.com has announced the release of English 9, a comprehensive sequence created to cover essential standards of grammar, writing, speech, reading strategies, literature, and research at the ninth grade level.

“Our new English 9 course gives schools the opportunity to provide an engaging and rigorous Language Arts curriculum to teachers in credit recovery, alternative ed, and virtual school programs. Using Class.com's English courses, teachers can more easily individualize instruction and reach nontraditional learners in new ways” said Class.com CEO Katherine Endacott. “We're pleased to extend our offerings with this new course, and look forward to our upcoming English 10, 11, and 12 as well.”

“It’s a complete, media-rich, full-featured English class,” reports Michelle Kobza, Director of Instructional Technology. “Students will be introduced to different types of writing -- short stories, speeches, poetry, novels, essays, and research. They'll learn reading strategies, grammar, and vocabulary while they explore diverse works of literature and everyday writing.

The two semester-length courses include a wide variety of self-directed and teacher-guided activities, works of literature, computer-graded quizzes, writing assignments and projects, plus collaborative exercises. The courseware is designed so that students can start at the beginning or be placed within the course at the appropriate level.
