(PRWEB) October 26, 2005 -- Nice music. Pretty flowers. A thoughtful message of memorial. These are the usual thoughts when one considers death. The dramatic production Tales of the Undertaker asks the question, “What about the rest of the story?” This high impact dramatic production Takes of the Undertaker will return to Tulsa Friday October 28 at 7pm and Sunday October 30 at 10:30am at 4701 W. Edison in Tulsa. There is no charge for the evening’s presentation.
Tales of the Undertaker returns for its seventh season in Tulsa presented by Calvary Temple. The drama features music, acting, audio and video clips designed to heighten the awareness of the struggle between good and evil. “Tales of the Undertaker takes a realistic look at various life situations and examines the long-term effects of decisions we make in life,” says Pastor Tim Watkins of Calvary Temple. “Many know this drama for its compelling message of hope in the midst of horrible and often tragic events of life,” says Watkins.
The cast of 25 and technical crew of five range in age 18 to “50 something” and have prepared for months for the two presentations presented at 4701 W. Edison in Tulsa. Each of the six scenes focuses on a different aspect of life or the consequences of choices. In the past music from The Eagles, Marilyn Manson, Phillips Craig and Dean, Clay Crosse and others have punctuated the drama. Dramatic lighting effects have added to the sensory experiences audiences have enjoyed for years. Each year a highlight has been when a Harley Davidson motorcycle roars through the auditorium in the drama.
Tales of the Undertaker has been presented at Eddie Warrior Correctional Facility in Taft, Oklahoma for several years. This year the drama troupe will return to the facility to present the entire drama for the women. Reaction to the drama has been extremely positive and invitations to return demonstrate the acceptance of this drama and its message of being positive, overcoming self-esteem and life-controlling issues.
Tales of the Undertaker was originally written by S. Gail Goodenough who graciously gave Calvary Temple permission to use the name and concept. Each year’s drama is written by a team of writers headed by Associate Pastor Dale Waterson. “Each year we help writers develop their craft by writing a scene. Some work alone, others collaborate building a scene together,” says Waterson.
In the past issues such as loving your neighbor, the effects of abortion, school shootings, and child abuse have dramatically illustrated the effects of decisions both good and bad in life. One such performance in 2002 drew 400 people, many who were junior high and high school students.
