Performers Academy Hosts the HOTTEST Workout Ever -- VUKUTO by Mel Jackson

Mel Jackson has been a legend in Laguna Beach for years. Mention Vukuto -- and most people know -- some don't but not for long. Mel now has a new home at The Performer's Academy in Laguna Hills.

Vukuto is a registered trademark and concept by Mel Jackson. The concept is simple, show up wearing all black workout attire; bring workout gloves, a bottle of water (or 2) and a towel. Mel provides the tambourine and one hour of the best class you've ever taken. You don't need to be fit, you don't need to know how to dance, and you don't need anything but a love for good music and the desire to be around the nicest people in the world.

Some of Mel's followers have been taking his class for over 15 years. First timers will appreciate their dedication to Vukuto - because everyone helps everyone...they make you feel extremely welcomed and comfortable. "Mel is always smiling. He is a phenomenal dancer - you can see it in his moves. The class comes together - he starts singing...it's amazing, you have seen nothing like this", says Tina Green.

What is Vukuto you say? The tambourine helps provide a rhythm, your body provides the "moves" and the perspiration, and Mel is the inspiration.

"I have been taking his class for years", says Natalie Costa, owner of The Performer's Academy. "There is nothing like it at any health club or dance studio. You never really get "good" at it - everyone- no matter what your fitness level is - enjoys this class - you just follow along - the music and the tambourine pull you in - but one thing for sure, you come out of that class dripping wet and feeling amazing."
