Boeing and other Northwest Organizations to Tell Their Business Blogging Stories at Upcoming "Blogging 101" Seminar

Seattle, WA (PRWEB) October 25, 2005 -- Boeing is no stranger to the use of cutting edge technology - both in its aircraft and in its business practices.

So it's no surprise that when the idea of a business blog first occurred to Boeing executives almost a year ago, they were quick to jump on the technology - which has quickly evolved from a platform for online diaries into a powerful business tool.

"I got a call from the Boeing Commercial Airplanes team," says Chris Brownrigg, a Web designer with Boeing's Communications Web Team. "They wanted to start a blog for one of their executives, Randy Baseler, and they wanted it in two days." So Brownrigg looked at how other blogs were formatted and we came up with html code that he thought would serve Boeing's needs.

"I'd say that the history of blogging at Boeing has been one of evolution and change," continued Brownrigg. "We started out with a flat html page and then incorporated features like commenting and an RSS feed as we responded to the needs of our readers."

Brownrigg will share his experiences, and insights into business blogging at the upcoming "Blogging for Business 101" seminar - which will be held October 29, 2005 at the Bell Harbor Convention Center in Seattle, WA.

The all-day event also features presentations by prominent blogger and Microsoft web evangelist Robert Scoble, successful Web entrepreneur DL Byron, and ActiveWords CEO Buzz Bruggeman, and Molly E.
