Halloween Party and Festival Wrap Up

Los Angeles, California (PRWEB) October 26, 2005 -- Movie Nation Festivals, LLC and Sebastian’s Restaurant are throwing the season’s best Halloween Costume Party! The festivities will be loaded with give-a-ways. Prizes include goodie bags for the first 100 people through the door, raffle tickets, door prizes, two iPod Shuffles, and a silent auction. There will also be an iPod Nano for the best costume, judged by the audience. Hot hors d’oeuvres will be served, compliments of Sebastian’s Restaurant, with a full service menu available. Drink tickets will also be on sale at a reasonable price. Come in costume and get your first drink free! Make-up artists will be on hand creating a wide range of creepy effects make-up and prosthetics.

The party doubles as an awards presentation for Movie Nation Festivals 2005 Festival of Science Fiction, Fantasy, Horror and the Supernatural. The festival was held in Las Vegas and ran from September 9 -11, 2005. Awards will be presented to various winners, including awards for Best Picture, Best Director Best Hair, Most Convincing Death Scene and the Guilty Pleasure Award (the film you are most embarrassed to admit enjoying).

The festival featured genre-specific films supplied by both professionals and students alike and represented filmmakers in 7 different states as well as Canada. The films competed for prizes in several categories that were separated by professional and student levels of competition and divisions such as: live-action and animation, which covered shorts, features, music videos and even television commercials.

Michael Taglianetti, the Executive Director and Co-founder of the festival, intimated that “it would have been impossible to do this without the help of some very competent people at some very helpful companies.” Mr. Taglianetti, a 15-year veteran of the film industry in live-action production, Special F/X and animation had this to add about the overall experience; “This was a lot like making a short film. Consequently, we ran it like a feature film production with a distribution deal in tow, minus the budget. We could not have done this were it not for the involvement of a lot of people who really seemed to care about what we were doing.” Special honorary awards will be presented to the key sponsors and contributors of this event.

Proceeds from this years Halloween party will go towards next years film festival. The creators of this event received outstanding praise for the festival with vows from all the participants to attend again next year. They look forward to next year’s festival to be even more of a success with more prizes, entertainment, advertising and participants.

The Halloween party will be held at Sebastian’s Restaurant, 10057 Riverside Dr. Toluca Lake, CA 91602 on Sunday October 30, from 7 PM to Midnight. Tickets will be $10 advance, or $15 at the door.
