Writing Instructor's Debut Suspense Novel Garners Rave Reviews

"Ten Times Guilty" is about a single mother's struggle to realize her worth after a vicious attack, and a police sergeant who is seeking redemption for a crime he didn't realize he committed – until the victim died.

(PRWEB) October 26, 2005 -- (PRWEB) October 27, 2005 –"Ten Times Guilty," a suspense novel by Brenda Hill, has been garnering rave reviews since its release by Publish America. It is about a single mother's struggle to realize self-worth following a vicious attack, and a police sergeant who is seeking redemption for a crime he didn't realize he committed – until the victim died.

Here are some of its earliest reviews:

"This suspense thriller is truly an outstanding novel. I do not mean to sound cliché when I say that I had difficulty setting aside this review project. In fact, for two days I had forgotten about lunch entirely!" -- Lillian Brummet - Book Reviewer - Co-author of the book "Trash Talk, a guide for anyone concerned about his or her impact on the environment" and Author of "Towards Understanding, a collection of poetry."

"The meticulous research done for this book was obvious and impressive. The background information on rape standards was very well put together and fit perfectly into the story. This author has just been put on my list of favorites. I will be looking for many more books from Brenda Hill and recommend that everyone else does too!" -- Lighthouse Literary Reviews http://www.lighthouseliteraryreviews.com.

"Ms. Hill's creative narrative takes the reader into the heart and soul of rape victims and examines the distorted and crazed minds of the assailants. Ten Times Guilty is a riveting, page-turner that the reader will find difficult to put down." -- Patricia Johnston, Author, Columnist, Ghost Writer.

Her novel is also currently available through Amazon.com or by special order through any bookstore (ISBN # 1-4241-0008-9), $24.95, Publish America.

Although it is her first book, Hill has been editing other author's manuscripts for years and teaching novel writing courses through Sea Quest community classes in Southern California, where she lives. Previous to that, she owned and operated a bookstore for six years. According to Hill she had the initial idea of the story shortly after a close, personal friend went through a number of the same issues as the young mother in her book.

"I didn't just want a story about rape," Hill said. "I wanted something more; something about (the main character's) personal growth and finding her inner strength..."
