Horror Comics Returns with School: A Ghost Story issue #2, available November 16th

The new gothic horror comic book series School: A Ghost Story will be releasing its second ground-breaking issue on November 16th. The issue will be available to order online at deftoons.com.

(PRWEB) October 28, 2005 -- You’re 12 years old and you have just found out you’re dead. Dead. But yet you are still existing inside an elementary school somehow beyond your death; and all the kids in the classrooms look familiar to you - neighborhood friends you hang out with, acquaintances through intermural sports and sunday school, wanderers from the trashy ghettos... however, the school looks completely unfamiliar to you and you don’t know why you’re there and why you’re dead.

Welcome to the afterlife of Lindsay Buckner, the main character in the fresh new comic book horror series School: A Ghost Story by Wisconsin creator Brian Defferding. The second installment of this creepy book will be released on November 16th, available to order online from the comic’s website www.deftoons.com.The new issue will have more content - 48 pages in total (that’s 16 more pages than the first issue) for $5.00.

“I am really happy with this second book,” says Brian Defferding. “The quality of it is amazing, and every convention I go to the book has been well received. They like the original format, the sketchy and warped art style, the story’s concept; this book has a lot to offer for those looking for a fresh approach to the medium.”

Created, written, drawn and published by Appleton native Brian Defferding at Deftoons! Cartooning and Comics, this is his first endeavor in comics which started out as a senior project before graduating from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design in December 2001. Already the comic has been praised througout the various message boards and review sites on the internet like Broken Frontier and Cellar Door Publishing.

Both retailers and customers alike can view a 9-page preview of both issues #1 and #2 as well as find more about School: A Ghost Story in general at www.deftoons.com where they can order the book and various other merchandise like shirts, buttons, and magnets.
