Earnshaw’s Honors The Best In Children’s Wear Design At The 2005 Earnie Nomination Party
Earnshaw’s Announces The 2005 Earnie Nominees At Special Reception
New York (PRWEB) October 27, 2005 -- Earnshaw’s, the leading children’s wear trade magazine, recognized the nominees for its 2005 Earnie Awards during a cocktail party held on October 24. The award honors retailers’ choices for the best in children’s apparel design for the year.
“Earnshaw’s new owner, Symphony Publishing, is honored to continue the tradition of celebrating the children’s wear industry with the Earnie Awards. It is always our goal at Earnshaw’s to foster the growth of the industry, the success of our retailers and the continued innovation of designers,” stated Ross Garnick, publisher of Earnshaw’s magazine. “The Earnie nominee party gave us the perfect opportunity to network with key industry retailers and manufacturers.”
“The industry is always excited to hear who has been nominated for this prestigious award,” said Caletha Crawford, Earnshaw’s editor in chief. “The Earnies gives retailers an opportunity to show their appreciation of manufacturers and brands that have been great performers throughout the year and that continue to move children’s fashion forward.”
The Earnies has earned its prestigious status in the industry over the last 27 years. This year, the awards focus on 21 categories within the children’s apparel industry, including the infant and toddler market, girls’ wear, boys’ wear, sleepwear, swimwear and accessories. Nominees are selected by a nominating committee consisting of children’s wear experts; the winners are then selected by retailers in Earnshaw’s circulation.
Retailers received the ballots to vote on the 2005 Earnie Award winners in the magazine’s October issue. The winners will be announced in January during the children’s wear market week in New York.
