Analytical Spectral Devices, Inc. (ASD), the world leader in field portable spectroradiometers announces the release of the new FieldSpec® 3, the next generation in field spectroradiometers. With all of the power and functionality of the benchmark FieldSpec® Pro — times three — FieldSpec® 3 offers significantly expanded functionality, including Ethernet and wireless connectivity for remote data collection of up to 150’ feet away from the computer. The FieldSpec® 3, with its more compact, rugged, and lighter weight design promises improved ease of handling in the field. FieldSpec® 3 also comes standard with several cable management options and increased built-in diagnostics, including the all new ASD FiberChecker™ and detector stability indicators.

FieldSpec® 3 is a user friendly, field portable, precision instrument with a full spectral range (350-2500 nm) and rapid data collection (1/10th of a second per spectrum). The new LabVIEW® interface expands the power and capabilities of the updated RS3™ software, enabling automation of data collection and ease of use for a wide variety of applications. The improved instrument design combined with the new wireless connectivity takes portability and flexibility to a higher level, allowing users to perform applications never before possible.
