Thin Slice Upload Version 1.0 Released
Thin file (pvt) ltd. announced the release of Thin Slice Upload, an applet tailor made to upload very large files.
Thin file (PRWEB) October 27, 2005
Users of web applications such as Photo and Video Galleries or Content Management Systems need to upload their files to the server. Unfortunately, web browsers are not ideally suited for handling these large file uploads. To make matters worse, many web servers at the recieving end are not properly suited to accept large file uploads either.
The so called traditional form based file uploads are usually limited up to 2Giga bytes of data. Thin Slice Upload can easily overcome this limitation and upload even hundreds of gigabytes over an HTTP connection. You can effectively use Thin Slice Upload to transfer your entire DVD collection. All this without the need to juggle with web server configurations.
Thin Slice Upload is much more user friendly than traditional file upload forms. It is very easy for the end users to send their files across. All that is needed is to select the files and drop them on the browser. All popular browsers such as Internet Explorer, Firefox, Mozilla and Safari are supported on Windows, OS X and Linux computers. The product can be downloaded from http://upload.thinfile.com/
Thin File (Pvt) Ltd. is a company that specializes in file management software. It has already released a series of other file upload tools suited for different web applications. The products are based on an existing technology with a two year proven track record.
