British Horror Writer Launches New Website

Hertfordshire writer Scott Buckingham proudly announces the launch of his own website. Designed by Neil Sampson, the site will provide an opportunity for readers to contact Scott and will provide updates as to the progress of publication of his second novel.

(PRWEB) October 29, 2005 -- Following the publication of his first novel, “When a Demon Walks The Earth” (Publish America), Hertfordshire horror writer Scott Buckingham has launched his own website (www.scottbuckingham.co.uk) to promote forthcoming work and provide readers with an insight into the progression of his second novel “Dark Thoughts”, which has just been accepted for publication and hopefully should be published in the latter half of 2006.

Scott says “I decided to set up my own website so I could let readers find out what is happening and to provide an outlet for them to contact me. An online shop facility is also available for anyone who wants a signed copy, and this will also prove a valuable resource when my second book comes out. I also hope the website will give me a higher profile and enable bigger recognition of my work”.

The website designer, Neil Sampson, says “I looked at other author’s websites which gave me inspiration and ideas to start designing the site. It needed to be simple, yet eye catching. I find many websites are all too similar. Consistency is a good acquisition to have on a website but it can also show lack of imagination. I wanted a powerful and explosive opening scene. Eye catching, making the reader to see what’s inside. Though, when inside, I wanted a consistent layout which would be easily adapted for future updates.”

”It was great to work with Scott, who is a nice guy, and I hope the site will represent the not only quality of his work, but provide readers with an insight as to how he works”.

It is hoped to expand the site in future to incorporate a forum for horror readers to express their views and interests in what is an exciting development in Scott’s career.
