(PRWEB) October 28, 2005 -- The fitness center expansion at Murrysville Dek Hockey, at 2989 School Road South, opens officially Tuesday (November 1) and features a racquetball court and state-of-the-art weight room.
“The weightroom has a row of cardio machines as well as free weights, dumbbells and Nautilus machines,” says Steve Good, new manager of the fitness center, who is just overflowing with new ideas of what can be done at the complex.
“The SportZone, which opened last August, has a Sport Simulator to play golf, football, baseball, basketball and soccer. One of the focuses of the simulator is golf. You are able to play nine or 18 holes,” he says. “Our goal is that we have golfers on the simulator anytime that they can't be on the course. We would even like to start golf leagues in the winter.”
The 7,000-square-foot two-story facility also houses gym and video game areas, offices and a pro shop. Aerobic classes will be offered in the near future.
Still, dek hockey remains the number one concentration for the complex, featuring luxury box-style seating area so that parents no longer have to stand in freezing temperatures to watch their kids play hockey, according to facility co-owner Andy Virostek.
Membership costs vary with the activity. Weight and fitness room fees can cost as little as $25 a month on a yearly contract.
For membership information call 724-325-2244 or visit the website at http://www.padekhockey.com The facility is located at 2989 School Road South in Murrysville.
