Small Business Owners: Join Capitol Barter Exchange in Time for the Holidays

LI's Premier Barter Group Invites Small Business Owners to Join Before or At Holiday Trade Show November 10th

Bay Shore, NY (PRWEB) October 30, 2005 -- Small Business Owners looking to increase traffic, find new customers, and buy their holiday gifts with a minimal outlay of cash should join Capitol Barter Exchange in time for their Holiday Trade Show. This year’s show will be held on Thursday, November 10 at the Huntington Town House from 11am – 9pm, and will feature a huge assortment of goods and services for sale on trade, as well as raffles, prizes, free food and soft drinks, entertainment, and networking opportunities. There will also be a Texas Hold ‘Em Poker Tournament with three grand prizes and a Blackjack Table as well.

“We invite merchants and service providers to join our organization and experience firsthand the benefits of bartering,” says Founder and CEO Richard Quinn. “Capitol Barter offers new members an immediate $1,000 line of credit to apply to purchases at the Trade Show. Anyone who joins our group at the show can shop that day. If they sign up prior to November 10th, they can get a free vendor table, so they can not only buy, they can sell. It’s a win-win situation.”

Bartering has been around for years. Large corporations consider it an integral part of doing business, but small companies have often been reticent to join a barter group. That’s rapidly changing as they realize the many ways they can benefit. In addition to saving money, they can improve cash flow, generate new sales, reward employees, tap into an alternate form of financing, raise their personal standard of living, and make new business connections.

The Holiday Trade Show 2005 promises to be bigger and better than ever. The Texas Hold ‘Em Poker Tournament is limited to 30 players with a buy-in of $100 of barter money. Quinn has earmarked those dollars to go to LI’s Women of Substance, the non-profit domestic violence organization that provides resources to women in need. “We are thankful for the ongoing support of Capitol Barter, and gladly accept their donation,” says Mary Elberfeld, Women of Substance founder and president. “It will help us reach out to more women who need our services.”

There is no fee to join Capitol Barter. They have over 700 local members and reciprocal arrangements with thousands of other barter members both nationally and internationally. The staff is eager to answer questions, facilitate trades, and welcome new members. Call them at 631.969.9388.
