Detroit auto supplier Quality Metalcraft and auto designer Chip Foose create a stainless steel roof for the Chrysler 300, which will unveil on several vehicles at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas November 1-4, 2005.

Detroit Tier 1 auto supplier and low-volume specialist Quality Metalcraft Inc. (QMC) has again teamed with Overhaulin’ TV star and L.A. street rod designer Chip Foose to create an elegant stainless steel roof for one of today’s hottest luxury sedans—this time the Chrysler 300 C.

The QMC-Foose designed roof will appear on several custom 300s at this November’s SEMA 2005 in Las Vegas, including a wildly customized “300 Royale” from Santini Paint and Bodyworks, which will show at the Chrysler booth.

“The stainless steel roof recalls the elegance and glory days of the luxury sedans of the ‘40s and ‘50s,” said Michael Chetcuti, president of Quality Metalcraft. “And stainless steel obviously wears better than ill-conceived vinyl tops dealers have offered in the past.”

“We’re happy to continue a very creative and productive partnership with Foose Design to turn Chip’s brilliant designs into production-ready parts bound for the assembly line,” Chetcuti said.

In August 2005 a QMC-Foose stainless roof for the Cadillac STS went into production for General Motors and is now being distributed nationwide by Vogue Tyre & Rubber of Mt. Prospect, Illinois.
