INTERNATIONAL THRILLER WRITERS (ITW) celebrates its one-year anniversary with the announcement of ThrillerFest, the biggest thriller conference ever, featuring top thriller authors from around the world. The event will take place at the world-class luxury Arizona Biltmore Resort in Phoenix, Arizona from June 29 to July 2, 2006.

The event will take place at the world-class luxury Arizona Biltmore Resort in Phoenix, Arizona from June 29 to July 2, 2006. Founded in October 2004, at the Bouchercon World Suspense Conference in Toronto, Canada, the International Thriller Writers boasts a membership of more than 300 authors (many of whom are New York Times bestsellers) with worldwide sales exceeding 1.6 billion books.
ThrillerFest will be a literary feast for fans of the wildly popular thriller genre, with three nights of fun and opportunities for readers, authors, librarians, media and publishing professionals to meet and network with their favorite authors. This excitement-packed weekend will include a reader’s reception, a fabulous Saturday night Awards Banquet, panels, interviews showcasing celebrity and up-and-coming thriller authors, and much more.
During ThrillerFest 2006, ITW will present its first awards for the best in thriller literature as well as unveil the first pure thriller anthology – THRILLER (MIRA Books, June 2006). Special guest authors for ThrillerFest are John Lescroart, Brad Meltzer, Douglas Preston and R.L. Stine. Additional authors scheduled to attend include Steve Berry, Sandra Brown, Lee Child, David Dun, Barry Eisler, Tess Gerritsen, Gayle Lynds, C.J.Lyons, David Morrell, P.J. Parrish, M.J. Rose, M. Registration for ThrillerFest is open to ITW members and non-members, though attendance is limited. Early Bird Registration is $195.00 or $95.00 for a one-day pass. The Thrillers’ Awards Banquet on Saturday, July 1 2006 is $75.00 per person. ITW has reserved a limited block of rooms at the celebrated Arizona Biltmore Resort (where the event is being held), designed by renowned architect Frank Lloyd Wright, at a specially discounted rate of $109 per night.
