Founded nearly five years ago, popular Asian-American Pop Culture website Destroy-All-Monsters.com has been shut down and re-built under a new name.
That name is: Yellow-Menace.com
The new site will host all of the archived material from Destroy-All-Monsters.com, but under a new identity and with a whole new site. Anime, Asian film and music, food, and other Asian culture remains the primary focus at Yellow-Menace.com.
In addition to the entire five-year archive of material from Destroy-All-Monsters.com, Yellow-Menace.com sports a whole slew of new features available to site users: a database-driven architecture, news submission for registered users, user-submitted image galleries, a dynamic Event Calendar through which users can submit their own event info (anime cons, etc), a re-tooled RSS feed, and much more.
"We simply grew too big for our old website," comments Editor-In-Chief Alex 'Musashi' Mayo. "At just under 2-million hits per month, the old site was terribly difficult to maintain. The new website allows us to post news and articles from anywhere we can get online, and makes the site content more interactive for our regular users.
I hope our existing fan-base joins us at the new site and helps us to build one of the best Asian Pop Culture communities on the 'net."
Since the site's re-launch, Yellow-Menace.com has featured a slew of new content, including an updated (and nearly completed) Ghost In The Shell: Stand Alone Complex Episode Guide, interviews with Bandai Games and Author Patrick Galloway (Stray Dogs and Lone Wolves: The Samurai Film Handbook), and numerous contests and giveaways.
