Theresa Bernhardt, Lisa Brouillette, Melissa Leonard and Leonard Magliocca of Badger Realty recently earned Maine real estate licenses. They join fellow Badger agents Dick Badger, Brenda Leavitt, David Cianciolo, Nubi Duncan, Bernie Friberg, Maureen Garrette, Norman Head, Kevin Killourie, Diane McGregor and Michele Southwick, who all also hold Maine real estate licenses.

Theresa Bernhardt, who has been with Badger Realty since 1993, specializes in residential and condominium sales, with a special focus on rental properties. She comments, “Being licensed in both New Hampshire and Maine enables me to better answer all my clients’ needs—and helps me have a better understanding of the real estate market throughout the area.” Previously the rental manager at Badger and the sales coordinator and director of marketing at Nordic Village Resort in Bartlett, Theresa has exensive expertise in weekly, seasonal and year-round rentals, and can guide clients through buying or selling an appropriate rental property and the rental process.

Lisa Brouillette, an accredited Buyer Representative who joined Badger Realty in 2003, recently earned the Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) designation as well as her Maine real estate license. Fewer than 4 percent of all REALTORS® hold the CRS Designation. She states, “Real estate sales are hot on both sides of the border. I receive so many requests for Maine primary and vacation homes; I think it’s important to offer clients the broadest possible choice.” In the first half of 2005, Lisa was in the top 11% of Realtors in real estate volume sold in the Mt. Washington Valley.

Melissa Leonard and her husband, Leonard Magliocca, joined Badger in early 2004, after moving to the area when they purchased the Albert B. Lester Memorial Hostel in Conway in 2002. The couple recently purchased land in Brownfield, Maine, where they are building a home. Melissa, who is focusing on residential sales, says, “I enjoy helping people find or create the property that’s right for them; it’s something I experienced previously when I worked with Leonard on the design, specifications and product selection for new homes he built as a general contractor when we lived in the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania area. I’m especially pleased to now be able to better serve our new neighbors in Maine, as well as introduce the Maine communities to those who are considering the purchase of a home or land there.”

Leonard Magliocca specializes in rentals of year-round and vacation homes and apartments. Previously he had successful careers as a general contractor and as a hostel manager on Cape Cod and Nantucket. According to Magliocca, “I believe the addition of both Home Depot and Lowe’s to the Valley is an indicator of significant growth here—and that growth will be felt in Maine. The Maine communities just across the border are such wonderful places to live; it’s a real plus for us to be able to work with clients who are considering the purchase, sale or rental of property there.”

Badger Realty has been a leader in residential and commercial real estate in the Mt. Washington Valley and western Maine since 1965, with offices in North Conway and Jackson, NH. For more information cal 603-356-5757 or in Maine, call 207-935-5757 or visit http://www.badgerrealty.com.
