Dundee Community Church of the Nazarene Offering Financial Peace University Classes

Financial Peace University, a program created by radio host Dave Ramsey, teaches participants how to get out of debt. Participants learn how to take control of their money and stay out of debt.

Dundee, Mich. (PRWEB) November 1, 2005 -- Dundee Community Church of the Nazarene is offering Financial Peace University classes designed to help participants reduce their debt load and build wealth using the income they have now. The course was founded by financial radio show host Dave Ramsey, New York Times best-selling author of Financial Peace and More Than Enough. An informational meeting will be held Monday, Nov. 7, 7 p.m. at River of Life Community Church, 120 Tecumseh Street in downtown Dundee.

“Debt is a crushing burden for so many individuals and families in Dundee, just like the rest of the country,” said Rev. Sam Mullen, pastor of Dundee Community Church of the Nazarene. “Regardless of whether the debt comes from medical bills, job losses, or poor spending choices, it puts a tremendous strain on budgets and relationships. Statistics show that financial issues are the most common source of disagreements within marriages, and lead to many divorces.”

The Financial Peace University concept is a 13-week small group session that offers practical advice as well as encouragement. More than 180,000 families have participated in the program since its inception. The average family pays off $5,300 in debt and saves $2,700 in the first 91 days after beginning Financial Peace University and is completely out of debt, except for the mortgage, in 18 to 24 months.

The cost of materials is $89 per family for the entire Financial Peace University kit. This includes course a lifetime membership, course workbook, budgeting forms, and a CD with all 13 lessons.

The course begins Monday, Nov. 21 at 7 p.m. and run for 13 weeks. For additional information about the course, contact Dundee Community Church of the Nazarene at (734) 529-5047.
