CEO, Jaffer Ali said, “Over the past few years, Pay-Per-Click advertising has greatly increased in demand. It is currently estimated to be over 40% of all online advertising. We believe the future of online advertising lies in full motion video placed before quality content streams. V-Clicks™, which is the marriage of the PPC model to our contextualized video ads, is a natural progression in our product’s development. Our advertisers get all the benefits of branding plus a measurable metric of per-click advertising.”

Presently EVTV1 has 16 different content channels with an expansion to 30 channels planned for first quarter of 2006. Ali continued,

“In order to make contextual advertising work, a variety of content is needed. Over the past year we have been concentrating our efforts on accumulating rights to over 200,000 hours of video content that covers just about every facet of the human experience. The more content is added to our site, the more opportunities exist for contextualized clicks. V-Clicks™ are clicks generated from viewers actually watching a :15 pre-roll video commercial and then clicking on the accompanying banner. This is about as rich a contextual experience as you can have online. Clicks generated from video (or V-Clicks™) have tested extremely well.”

The price per click starts at $1 per click and will eventually be auctioned to the highest bidder once more advertisers are exposed to the new format. For those advertisers who do not have video commercials, a list of approved video producers is being made available. VP of Advertising, Jeanie Davis said,

“V-Clicks will not replace selling video on a CPM basis, it is just an additional avenue to introduce pre-roll video to the market. We are thrilled with the initial response of the advertisers we have first approached. Advertisers are extremely savvy because they know that this is more than conventional PPC advertising, they are getting clicks PLUS branding. We will be featuring V-Clicks ™ at Ad Tech NY.”
