Engrade, provider of the fastest-growing free online gradebook for teachers, announced Tuesday the launch of the Engrade Suite, adding a free online attendance book and assignment calendar to its existing free online gradebook.
The new Engrade Suite now allows teachers to post attendance and upcoming assignments online for students and parents to log in and to see. These new features are in addition to Engrade’s existing online gradebook, which allows teachers to post assignment scores online so that students and parents can log in to see their overall class grade as well as each assignment score and any missing assignments.
“Our goal is to give teachers a simple online tool that lets them connect with students and parents to boost participation,” said Brian Holt, President and Founder of Engrade, “and these new features definitely help achieve that.”
Holt went on to describe that Engrade began developing these features after working with parents to find that parents often felt they had no direct means of seeing what their student’s attendance was or what assignments they were given. The new suite tools, he said, were created to give parents access to this information, “straight from the teacher’s mouth – available anytime 24/7.”
