When Is A WebSite Important
Hijacked website loses business.
(PRWEB) November 3, 2005 -- A website has become the store front for most businesses. Many people work very hard to put a site up with products they sale or products they sale for others. It is their livelihood that they are working for, just as if they were going into an office every day.
Some of these people, like myself, could be handicapped or with health issues that make it impossible to work outside the home. We look for ways to make life easier for our families and to give them purpose and hope and financial security. When handicapped people or people with health related issues, bite into opportunity to help work, we take it seriously with our whole heart and with the same energy, that you--who can work in outside world would. But we do it from home, with the same pride. Placing the same value you place on your jobs.
We pay the same for advertising, press releases, working an average of 8 to 10 hours a day, sometimes six days a week. Sitting day in and day out in front our computers. We do this without complaint and without medical benefits, without fringe benefits. We just want the opportunities to work. Just like anyone else.
My child watched me cry for joy, because this was the first check I earned in so very long, insisting we take a picture of me holding it up.
It meant for the first time in 15 years we would have a nice Christmas with all the trimmings and extra school supplies, getting to go to the movies once in a while, college fund for our child. Now this is not going to happen. To the Average American this is no big deal. To us who have so little, it means everything, not just monetarily but in self esteem and purpose.
That has now been taken away; by this senseless act of violence. The one responsible for the hijacking of my site did this, set out to hurt an American; instead you hurt the entire family. Our Constitution promises us the right to pursue happiness. This has taken it away from me as an American.
WHY:
My site Houco.com was HIJACKED and turned into a site with slogans against our country. It was upsetting and it was appalling. We never found out who did it, but it cost me my clientele, my income. What has happened to me, can just as well happen to you the reader and your family and friends.
HOW:
They were able to get into my site that was password protected. By using a reverse dictionary. Encrypting your website is useless, because there is now software out there that anyone can purchase to unencrypt a site and read your source code and lift your graphics.
RESULTS:
Since this has occurred I have had no business and people have shied away from my website.
With all my heart I am sorry my site was hijacked, but it had nothing to do with me. There has been a request for a public apology to be made. I hereby make it even though I had nothing to do with it.
Whoever did this, took away my chance of the small things in life; that most take for granted. I will probably never be able to send my child to college. That was a dream that now unless people come back to my site and use it; will be only a dream gone up in smoke.
But wasn’t that the purpose of what they did to ruin dreams and hopes of this American? My family served in the Armed Forces and I am proud of them and honor their service. In three separate branches of the military.
My Next Efforts:
I have worked hard to put a new site up and make things as secure as I can, through my web host and my online provider. My host server told me the best way to put a password in, is never to use all letters but to use characters, numbers, spaces.
Make it 9 to 20 characters long. Houco.com is still open and ready to do business. Please give us another opportunity to help others, help themselves.
We have added another site HouCoplus.com to our family online products. It carries over 150 herbal products to help you make a selection from Whole Health Products. Please visit our site for your vitamin and herbal needs.
Thank you for your time and God Bless Our Country and Our President and each and every one of you. May Our Lord's gracious love watch over our troops, who offer their lives each and every day for our Freedom.
Respectfully,
Anne Hougaard
