Durham entrepreneur Ryan Allis, 21, has been named by BusinessWeek Magazine as one of its Top 25 Entrepreneurs Under 25. Ryan is the CEO of Durham-based Broadwick Corp. Founded in 2003, Broadwick today has 21 employees and over 3150 customers for its web-based email marketing software IntelliContact (www.intellicontact.com) including companies like Super 8 Motel, International Paper, and Re/Max.

This isn’t the first time Ryan has been featured by national media. He has also been featured on ABC News and in Investors’ Business Daily, Entrepreneur Magazine, Young Money Magazine, and CosmoGirl for his businesses and for his book Zero to One Million: How To Build a Company to $1 Million in Sales, which was published in 2003. Ryan is also a well-known speaker on entrepreneurship and had just returned from speaking at the Collegiate Entrepreneurs’ Organization 2005 Conference in Orlando when he heard of his selection.
Ryan moved from Florida to Chapel Hill in 2002 to attend UNC-Chapel Hill. Ryan is presently taking time off from school to focus on his business. Ryan is an economics major and a Blanchard Scholar at UNC and will be a senior when he returns.
