New Manufacturer of Ladies Merchandise Enters the NASCAR Arena to Capture Untapped Womens' Market

With women being 40% of the fan base in a male-dominated sport, Social Stitches Inc. has launched Race Ready Lady, a feminine flair to a much needed revamp in NASCAR merchandise.

Imagine a women shopping without a handbag to carry everyday necessities such as lipstick, that is like a driver on the track without a steering wheel. It just doesn't happen; if 40% of the spectators at a NASCAR race are women, why has it taken so long to put a decent handbag with a driver's number in the marketplace. This is exactly why the founders of Social Stitches embarked on this impossible feat to license drivers numbers. In just a few months this company has licensed 13 drivers; 7 of them "Chase" contenders. Founder Kim Nappi says, "We solved our problem - we made it possible to show spirit and be fashionable at the same time."

The need for different options besides t-shirts, caps and diecast cars was obvious after Kim Nappi and Dana Lasher attended a race in late 2004. The women returned from the track with a hauler of ideas and reshaped their existing monogram handbag business. This up and coming business is race ready for a new race, replacing monograms for numbers, upscale boutiques for trackside haulers and combining our womanly obsession of handbags with a womanly obsession of everything racing. "Our purses are more than just fabric with a number; they represent a lifestyle we enjoy - racing" states Dana Lasher.

Race Ready Lady is incorporated under the name Social Stitches Inc., a Pennsylvania Corporation. The principle owners are Kim Nappi and Dana Lasher. All merchandise is designed, licensed, manufactured and embroidered in the USA under the Race Ready Lady brand name.
