Warwick, NY (PRWEB) November 4, 2005 -- Publisher Keene Books of Warwick, NY announces the publication of Once Again, Now by Charmaine Gordon. Gordon, an experienced theatre and television actress, has written her first novel. "A riveting tale of loss and the power of love to inspire growth…a real page turner," says Jenny Kalsner, former Columnist, Canadian Flight Magazine and Ottawa Review.

Suddenly widowed at age 59, Kate Harris, the heroine of Once Again, Now, emerges from a dark year of mourning and tries to find her place in the world. Having always been the obedient and dutiful young lady, married to her first boyfriend, then mother to two, she never had time to just be Kate.

Life has changed so much since 1959—computers seem to run the world, and all the rules for dating have changed. Terrified and lonely, but determined to live again, Kate wonders how she will ever find the strength to overcome her fears. Can she learn to be an independent woman in this new and sometimes bewildering but potentially exhilarating world? Or will forces beyond her control derail her attempts to put her life back together?

As a professional actress, Charmaine Gordon has worked in feature films such as Working Girl with Melanie Griffith, on daytime TV shows including One Life to Live, All My Children, and Another World, as well as in several plays; most recently the Off Broadway production The Fourth Commandment.

Just as her main character, Gordon started her life over when her husband suddenly died. Rediscovering herself after a forty-year marriage became her mission. Now she aims to share her story of growth and strength through her novel. Once Again, Now is sure to inspire all women and especially those who might think it is too late to follow their dreams.
