Edward Roberts International is holding a fine and rare wine auction at the Chicago Yacht Club on December 10th, 2005 featuring some exciting private consignments with excellent provenance including desirable Bordeaux in large formats from the Callahan Family Collection.
Highlights of this auction include 1947 Chateau Calon-Segur, 1959 Chateaux Latour and Margaux, 1961 Chateaux La Mission Haut-Brion and Lafite-Rothschild, 1957, 1970 and 1971 Chateau Petrus; 1982 Chateau Lafite-Rothschild en magnum as well as a number of other selections from this heralded vintage, a case of 1995 Chateau Le Pin magnums, Chateaux Haut-Brion and Lynch-Bages ten vintage verticals in double magnums, 1949 Liger-Belair Charmes-Chambertin and Bouchard Chambertin, 1969 and 1972 vintage DRC wines including Romanee-Conti, and 1990 Echezeaux en Jeroboam; 1998 and 1999 Dugat-Py selections including Chambertin, 1969 Domaine Leflaive Chevalier-Montrachet, 6 bottle case lot verticals of Opus One and Dominus, coveted vintages from Screaming Eagle, Harlan, Bryant, Sine Qua Non, and a special offering of older hard to find bottlings from Kistler. Of special note is a selection of fine aged Spirits and collectible wine accessories highlighted by a special pre-release of the new wine carrying case from Zero Halliburton, the renowned maker of highest quality cases for cameras, computers, and other sensitive equipment.
A Pre-sale tasting of 40 select wines will be held prior to the auction beginning at 10:00 am CST. The auction will commence promptly at 11:00 am CST.
