Placing First By Placement In The Worldwide Internet Explosion

Only 7% of all websites are visible on the search engines according to a recent StatMarket.com study. The reason for this phenomenon is that most web sites are not properly optimized and promoted to achieve high search engine rankings.

(PRWEB) November 5, 2005 -- It takes more than a great idea to make it big on the Internet. It means being found where customers expect to find a specific product or service. A website that isn’t ranked high in the search engine may be passing potential clients to rivals. Placement is key to a high ranking and allows a business to be found.

There’s no limit to the explosive marketing boom found on the Internet. Sales have already skyrocketed and the market is getting bigger…

Before placement is done, the niche market or target group must be determined. Keywords will be determined by the niche market being sought. The goal is to be to be found in the top three pages of the search being targeted.

An Iprospect Survey in 2002 reported that 78% of web users abandon their search if the first 3 pages don't provide an answer to their question, and 28% don't scroll past the 2nd page of results. Source: Media Post article reporting results of Spring 2002 IProspect survey.

Some reasons Websites fail to rank well include: missing ALT tags, confusing navigation, and using keywords that are common and highly competitive.

Placement Requires An Experienced Professional

Placement is an ongoing, time-consuming process requiring constant attention. Search engines are consistently changing the process in which rankings are done and what works one day may not work the next.

Placement is Location in the Internet World

Placement is the means by which websites are promoted on the Internet. Without it, a site remains virtually invisible.

Website marketers cited Search engine positioning as the top method to drive traffïc to their sites (66%), followed by email marketing (54%). Source: Direct Marketing Association. The most cost effective way to market your web site online is to obtain several top 10-search engine rankings in the major search engines for your keywords.

Placement will get websites found, but the ultimate goal is to make the sale. The design of the website and the wording are critical. The right copywriter and website developer can provide the right content and design to complete the site. The first sale is the most difficult one to make and an opportunity a business cannot afford to squander.

The right website design, placement, and content combine to give you the best website possible.

You risk gaining more business than you can handle

The Internet market is booming! Websites have an opportunity to tap some of the 801.4 million people worldwide that have Internet access and the 1.8 million joining each week.
