"Kwatee: Secret of the USS Kwatee" is the first novel of R. Allen Downey. Born in Indiana, Pennsylvania, he served three years in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. A graduate of Georgia Tech, he has a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering and has been a staff writer and editor, and has published stories in the Georgia Tech magazine, The Yellow Jacket.
