(PRWEB) November 6, 2005 -- Canadian champions Jeff Buttle and Joannie Rochette are featured in the latest issue of International Figure Skating magazine on newsstands now. The champions talk about their Olympic dreams in a story by Rob Brodie that also discusses the country’s success at the World Championships level, but lack of Olympic gold in singles (only the legendary Barbara Ann Scott, in St. Moritz in 1948, has captured Olympic singles gold for Canada). “It’s not necessarily that our skaters haven’t delivered, it’s that they’ve been up against formidable competition,” explained CTV/TSN analyst Tracy Wilson in the comprehensive article, which includes an array of pictures of Buttle and Rochette by Canadian photographer Stephan Potopnyk.
The issue also features “Olympic Reflection” from Tara Lipinski and Robin Cousins. Articles on Sasha Cohen, the Grand Prix series, U.S. ice dance, Stephane Lambiel, Elaine Zayack, David Wilson, Alexander “Sasha” Abt, and Russia’s rising skating stars are also found in the issue.
