Christian Superhero Call to World Culture

Christian author, Ken Clifton, wrote The Christian Superhero Training Guide to help Christians reach their full potential and overcome their arch-foes of their faith.

(PRWEB) November 6, 2005 -- Imagine a dark time where villains run unchecked. Evil powers wreck havoc, and the innocent suffer under its attacks. Author Ken Clifton says we are not far from that time.

"From debt to sickness to addiction and depression, our culture is full of many arch-foes that steal our potential away," Clifton says. "However, from the start of mankind, God has stood ready to intervene on the part of the faithful and powerfully touch their lives."

Clifton's book, The Christian Superhero Training Guide, profiles those faithful "superheroes" of the past, such as Enoch (Heaven Walker), Joseph (Dream Reader), The Seventy (Ghost Busters), Philip (Teleporter), and more. With each figure, their background, powers, power uses, summary, and lessons learned are given.

Then, Clifton provides the powers available to current superheroes (believers). "Having powers available doesn't mean you have them," Clifton says. "You have to reach out in faith."

Clifton provides 5 major Arch-Foes that every believer must overcome. They are Demons (The Condemned), The World (The Living Dead), The Flesh (Biological Weapons), Doubt (Faith Infection), and Pride (Glory Sunspots). For each Arch Foe, their background, powers, power use, summary, and lessons learned are provided, similar to the past superhero sections.

Finally, the book concludes with a graduation section calling on believers to rise up in the power available to them to change their world and find God's best for them, which Clifton says is God's plan. "In secret, He planned their mission," he says. "In patience, He trained them. In love, He surrounded them. In hope, He will send them out with the message of liberation from the evil reign on earth, the message of love and forgiveness found in Christ."

At 96 pages, this book is an inexpensive, yet powerful, quick read to bring the power of God into the lives of those that apply the lessons of faith it contains. The Christian Superhero Training Guide is available at lulu.com/writingken and is available in both print and e-book form.
