FOSS Software, an industry leader in developing graphical user interface components for Windows applications, introduced Prof-UIS 2.50, the major release of their flagship product. Prof-UIS (http://www.prof-uis.com) is a popular MFC extension library for creating newest GUI like that available in the latest Microsoft products.
The new version contains many new features and enhancements since the previous major release (2.40) including compound properties for the property grid control, tabbed toolbars, tear-off menus, palette menus, shadow support for tooltips and much more. To see the full list of new features, improvements, and bug fixes, visit the version history section of the product’s website at http://www.prof-uis.com/versionhistory.aspx. Most of the new features introduced in the new version were requested by Prof-UIS users.
Besides of Microsoft HTML Help 1 (chm and chi files), the technical documentation now supports Microsoft HTML Help 2 format (HxS and HxI files) and can be integrated with the Combined Help Collection for Visual Studio 2002/2003/2005. All the new classes are fully documented.
Prof-UIS now features the Application Wizard for Visual Studio 2005, which allows the developers to create a start-up project within minutes. The Integration Wizard, which comes with the library, is now capable of compiling any library configuration out of 24 configurations supported in Prof-UIS, including RDE configurations (the DLLs used in regular DLLs and ActiveX projects).
Prof-UIS is a royalty-free library so its binaries can be distributed without any additional fees. Prof-UIS Freeware is a free-for-non-commercial use version of Prof-UIS. Both the commercial and freeware versions come with full source code.
FOSS Software has been successfully developing and offering custom software solutions and GUI libraries since 2000.
