De-caf Prisons Not Such a Crazy Idea, Says Calgary Business-woman; Involved Citizen Proposes Replacing Prison Coffee with Healthy Alternative

Suggestions to remove caffeine from Alberta prisons have been scoffed at by some, but a Calgary business woman has suggested an alternative that could lead to calmer, healthier inmates.

Calgary, AB (PRWEB) November 7, 2005 -- Suggestions to remove caffeine from Alberta prisons have been scoffed at by some, but a Calgary business woman has suggested an alternative that could lead to calmer, healthier inmates.

A recent report in the Edmonton Journal quoted Harvey Cenaiko, Solicitor General as saying that “food and drinks supplied by the jails no longer contain caffeine would be healthier for the prisoners and could lead to a calmer environment.”

Norma Cooper of Norma’s Healthy Cafe (www.teambrewingdreams.ca team member) has proposed an alternative coffee that not only doesn’t have caffeine; it is blended with a mushroom extract that’s more beneficial than Ginseng.

Norma Cooper is a long time recognized person in her communities. In Irricana she was awarded for heading up Irricana recycling. Also she’s has been involved with Saint Johns ambulance, as a volunteer and has been awarded a number of awards. Also she has been tied to her community by serving as a Sunday school teacher for many years and is on the board of family community services, also in Irricana, AB.

Norma recently began operating a home-based business informing/distributing a healthy coffee called Gano Café online. Gano Café is the world's first great-tasting healthy coffee, produced by Gano Excel. It is a delicious coffee drink that helps to provide energy and vigor, while reducing fatigue. Ganoderma, provides the lift in energy that coffee drinkers look for, but without the caffeine jitters.

“We contacted the Minister,” said Cooper from her home-office yesterday. “He seems to be back-tracking on the suggestion of removing caffeine from prisons. I don’t know why.” If you feel this could be good for the system then, please get involved and write to your MLA.

Norma is associated with a network of Gano online retailers for more info and a rep. near you, visit: www.teambrewingdreams.ca.
