It has been a long road to make this all come together, but it is finished and John needs help to make this happen for the hurricane victims.
The link to the finished site and song is: http://www.HurricaneReliefSong.com .There you will find the “Full story” behind everything John has been working on, since the Katrina disaster with a few political views and opinions.
He has just signed a 6 month agreement with The American Red-Cross for a Cause-Related Marketing Effort, Nationwide; to help with the disaster relief for things we take for granted daily--Food, Water, Diapers, a Roof Over our Heads, etc--the list is never ending. The American Red Cross (Heartland Chapter) of Omaha is hosting a cause-related commitment event, Wednesday November 9th, and using "Who Are We (Anyway)" for one of their slide show presentations.
John is both excited and honored to now be a part of, what is now, the worst Super Catastrophic Hurricane Seasons the US has ever seen. By being able to give a helping hand, everyone can help by spreading this news, downloading the song if they wish, and telling everyone they know to do the same. They will not forget they had a part of John's vision to help rebuild our history, in his time lined song.
The song, “Who Are We (Anyway),” is beautiful, very moving and some say a little on the controversial side. John hit it on the head with his second verse and really laid into our government’s plan of action, for the disaster related situations, while at the same time thanking Texas for being the first to understand the needs for shelter in his third verse.
It has been quite interesting along with all the radio interviews John has had in the recent months regarding his song locally, and the cause, but now it is time to make it happen with some big media attention, news stories to really make this work for our neighbors... "They still need our help...It's not over yet! We need to give our helping hands," John said Saturday, November 5, 2005. “Just because the media does not talk about it much these days does not mean the victims of Katrina, Wilma, and Rita are ok now. We need to stand up and Step Out Of the Crowd to make a real difference. Next time you look in the mirror, ask yourself this question…Who are we anyway?...and think about it for a few minutes".
The more we can spread the word about John’s site and song, the more we can help the people that need it the most right now. John ended with this quote; "It's not about spending the 10.00 for a single song, it's about giving from your heart to feed a child, diaper a baby and provide the funds to shelter them until they can get on their feet again. Would that amount really break anyone? If it would, I understand, but then at least spread the word to someone who can. That's all I ask of anyone".
John really has a heart of gold and He would love to speak with anyone in person, by phone or by email, willing to help promote this cause to the fullest, as long as it benefits the victims of these tragic events. If you have any contacts willing to help or you are willing yourself, Please let John know ASAP.
