Australian Theologian Lashes Out at the United Nations

Australian author and theologian, R.P.BenDedek, has accused the United Nations of acting like lunatics running an asylum in its dealings with Israel and Palestine.

(PRWEB) November 8, 2005 -- The author of 'The King's Calendar: The Secret of Qumran', and contributing columnist at Magic City Morning Star News (Maine USA), R.P.BenDedek has used his newspaper column to accuse the United Nations of having 'double standards,' in its' handling of the Palestinian/Israeli conflict.

In an article entitled: "The United Nations, Iran and Israel", published November 6th. at Magic City News http://magic-city-news.com/article_4866.shtml, BenDedek states that, "The United Nations Organisation as a title seems certainly to be oxymoronic, and it definitely seems to be the case that "the lunatics are running the asylum."

Quoting articles from 'Women in Green,' a Jewish organisation which he describes as 'militant and orthodox', and presenting two 'Oleg Cartoons' from that organisation, he launched a succinct but scathing attack on the United Nations, saying, "As anyone with half a brain knows, the United Nations is a club for the politically insane."

Whilst maintaining that his own website, www.kingscalendar.com is primarily an academic publication in relation to Biblical Chronological research, BenDedek made it quite clear in his column, that he has a personal and political interest in social issues, especially in relation to Israel.
