Doug Houston Joins Burst’s Broadcast Integration Team
Burst expands integration team to provide intelligent, customer-focused solutions.
Denver, CO (PRWEB) November 9, 2005 -- Burst is pleased to announce Doug Houston has joined its broadcast integration team. With nearly 30 years of broadcast experience, Houston offers a unique skill set that advances Burst’s mission to provide intelligent, customer-focused solutions.
Before joining Burst, Houston was Director of Broadcast Operations and Engineering at KTVT/KTXA in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. He was responsible for production, engineering, operations and information systems for the CBS/UPN duopoly. He also managed all station capital projects.
Prior to KTVT/KTXA, Houston worked at Denver’s CBS-affiliate, KCNC, for more than 20 years. He was post-production editor, remote supervisor, engineering supervisor, and finally, operations manager.
Houston’s hands-on experience provides an invaluable understanding of the needs, wants, and problems broadcasters face, as well as the budgeting process, staffing demands, and complex projects with which stations are involved.
Says Scott Barella, Burst VP Engineering, “Doug and I worked together at CBS4 in Denver for many years. We made a great team then and now we’re ready to pick up where we left off. Doug has a knowledge of television operations like no other, and I am pleased to be working with him again.”
At Burst, Houston will work with the broadcast integration team to develop national engineering and integration projects, targeting broadcast TV, cable, arena, and church facilities.
