Valerie Jarrett, Carla Eyre, and Pam McElvane to Headline Executive Symposium co-hosted by Boardroom Bound and Diversity Pipeline Alliance, November 16, 2005 in Chicago, I.L. The Symposium will be held at the Private Dining Rooms of Spiaggia, 980 North Michigan Avenue, from 7:35- 11:30 a.m.
Keynote Speaker: Valerie Jarrett, Chairman, Chicago Stock Exchange Board, Executive Vice President and Managing Director, The Habitat Company. The Habitat Company is one of the nation's premier developers and managers of residential apartments.
Ms. Jarrett was elected April 2003 to serve for a three-year term as Chairman of the Chicago Stock Exchange (CHX), on which she had served since 2001 as a Trustee. Ms. Jarrett currently serves on the governing boards of several corporate and charitable entities including Director of USG Corporation, RREEF America, II, Navigant Consulting, Inc., The Local Initiative Support Corporation and The Joyce Foundation. She formerly served on the Boards of Heller Financial, Inc., 360 Communications, Inc., and Harris Insight Funds, Inc. Ms. Jarrett is Vice Chairman of both The University of Chicago Hospitals Board of Trustees, and the Executive Council of Metropolis 2020. She is also President of the Board of the Southeast Chicago Commission. Ms. Jarrett is a Trustee of The University of Chicago, the Museum of Science and Industry, and Window To The World Communications, Inc.
From 1995-2003, Ms. Jarrett served as Chairman of the Chicago Transit Board. The Chicago Transit Authority delivers bus and train service to the City of Chicago and 38 suburbs, providing approximately 1.5 million rides each day. Ms. Jarrett has a JD from the University of Michigan Law School and a BA from Stanford University.

Eyre, Group Senior Vice President with LaSalle Bank N.A., a subsidiary of Netherlands- based ABN AMRO Bank , where Ms. Eyre is the Manager of the Master Trust and Custody Services and ESOP businesses. Carla joined ABN in 1999 as a Group SVP with ABN AMRO Asset Management LLC., and currently serves on the Investment and ESOP Committees. Prior to joining ABN Ms. Eyre was a Managing Director and Chief Administrative Officer with Barclays Global Investors in San Francisco, held a position as Senior Partner and Chief Operating Officer of Harris Investment Management, Inc. in Chicago., was President of her own commodity trading and brokerage business, C.J. Eyre, Inc. for thirteen years, worked for the Chicago Board of Trade for three years, and for Alexander Grant, a public accounting firm in Chicago.
Ms. Eyre is currently a member of the Education Committee for the National Futures Association, is a Director of the YWCA of Chicago, and is a member of the Leadership Council for the Chicago Public School Education Fund. Carla was a founding Director of the Chicago Finance Exchange, has been active on several committees for the Chicago Board of Trade, and is a past Director of the Music of the Baroque and Women In Pensions. Ms. Eyre is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), Illinois and Ohio Societies, as well as the American Banking Association. Ms. Eyre graduated from Miami University, Ohio, with a B.S. in Accountancy.
