(PRWEB) November 10, 2005 -- The winners of the first 4kingpoker Tour poker tournament walked away in profit on Sunday night. Beating the competition and taking their share of the $100 freeroll prize money on offer at the launch of the private tournaments.
Hosted at Ultimatebet the field was narrowed to the final table in just over and hour and then down to the last 5 players. scrawnybob webmaster at 4kingpoker took 5th place committing his remaining chips preflop with Queen King suited only to be called by thefatvillain who turned over 9 Jack suited.
"I had to make a move at some point and felt reasonably confident to double through when the villian turned over a weaker hand but he hit the nine on the flop and it was all over for me" commented scrawnybob.
Thefatvillain received a 4kingpoker baseball cap as bounty for taking scrawnybob out and then put in a sporting performance to finish just short of the money in 4th place.
It was then a fairly quick to get a result as jim4488 took 3rd place and $20 cash, Argen 2nd and $30 cash, finally leaving fourducks the victor and $50 richer than he started.
Putting up the $100 prize money for the freeroll to launch of The 4kingpoker Tour made it a great free introduction to poker for some of the newer players. All the players enjoyed the tournament and can't wait for the next private game which will be a $5+0.5 buy-in tournie on the 20th November again hosted at UltimateBet. A further game is booked at Ultimate on the 27th before the Tour moves on to another poker site for the December leg.
The tour will change hosts every month giving players the chance to play at recommended poker sites that they maybe wouldn't have tried otherwise. With low buy-ins all members get the chance to show their poker skill against the other players in the forum.
4kingpoker.com aims to be more than just a forum site and offering it's members private tournaments gives them the perfect place to challenge their mates and get bragging rights thoughout the year if they make it onto the leaderboard.
Webmaster scrawnybob commented "This is just the start, we hope to build up to regular weekly tournaments creating a friendly yet competitive place for poker players both new and experienced to meet up, share knowledge and also prove themselves at the tables. We will be launching The 4kingpoker Series soon which will run at PokerRoom.com with various buy-ins and times to cater for both American and European players. Both the tour and the series will culminate in grand finals to decide the best poker players at 4kingpoker".
