St. Christopher video debuts on Google.
Asbury Park, NJ (PRWEB) November 9, 2005 -- A recently produced video for AERIA Recording Artist St. Christopher will not debut on MTV or VH-1. Instead AERIA Records has opted to debut the video on the ever popular web site and search engine Google.com.
According to AERIA Entertainment CEO Coleman R. Brice, " In today's new media music economy video exposure is not relegated to MTV, VH-1 or the like, in fact MTV peaked in the 80's and long ago abandoned their original mission of exposing worthwhile new music and artists. Instead MTV's focus is presently on reality programming that appeals to the lowest common denominator of the human psyche -- just like Fox and other mainstream purveyors of mental potato chips that too many acquiesce to.
Alternatively, Google is trendsetting and virtually defines contemporary pop culture in a fair, autonomic manner. AERIA Entertainment is grateful to be included and have the ability to integrate our organic niche into their massive fold. Allowing music fans to view videos on demand is the best way to go. I still want my music "television" and thanks to innovative new media pioneers like Google, we the people can still have it...
Filmed at Asbury Park's new oceanfront club DEEP for the track "Realize" off the St. Christopher debut entitled "The Art of Dreaming", the video features an impromptu cameo appearance from the legendary Gary U.S. Bonds, Richard Blackwell a percussionist on Bruce Springsteen's second album, upcoming rocker Greg Wilkens of Last Perfect Thing, club patrons, local artists and bohemians, and an obligatory assortment of ridiculously gorgeous women.
Directed by Beth Lasch, producer of Fsharp.tv, the video is also slated for rotation on Universal Music Group's International Music Feed available on the DISH network, myspace.com, and download.com.
Described as deep, grooving, and sensuous electronica, St. Christopher's The Art of Dreaming was released on October 25, 2005 on AERIA Records.
