Higher Education Marketing Firm Ranks Among 'Fastest Growing' for 3rd Straight Year

Interactive marketing company TargetX has again made the prestigious "Philadelphia 100" list, compiled each year by the Wharton School. CEO Brian Niles attributes continued revenue growth to new products and services that are revolutionizing college recruiting.

BRISTOL, PA (PRWEB) November 10, 2005 -- TargetX, the nation's leader in helping colleges recruit students online, has been named one of the fastest growing companies in the Philadelphia region for the third consecutive year.

With revenue growth of 95 percent, the technology and services company again made the prestigious Philadelphia 100 list of fastest-growing, privately-held firms in the 10-county metropolitan area, which includes parts of Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware.

The annual Philadelphia 100 ranking is coordinated by the Small Business Development Center of the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School of Business.

TargetX is the leading provider of Internet recruiting solutions to higher education. It recently launched the first integrated suite of online tools aimed at helping colleges communicate with today's Web-savvy students.

The new eXpressSuite includes email broadcasting, online chat sessions, event management, an electronic planning module, blogging and podcasting tools, and a means of conducting web-based surveys.

"TargetX is the first one-stop shop for colleges looking to improve their online recruiting," said CEO Brian Wm. Niles. "Now there's a place they can go to make the transition from traditional tools like direct mail and pricey brochures to more interactive techniques like email and chat sessions."

The company was founded in 1998 to help higher education take advantage of the power of email to communicate with prospective students. Over the years, the firm has developed other products and services to make it easier for colleges to use the Internet as a recruiting tool.

TargetX offers communications planning, creative services and proprietary technology to such clients as the University of Miami, Rochester Institute of Technology, Northeastern University, UCLA, Columbia University, the University of Oregon, Villanova University and the Ohio State University.

TargetX's core product is an easy-to-use, Web-based service, called eXpressEmail, that enables colleges to target, personalize, track, measure and manage their large-scale email communication.

In 2004 the company launched a new division, called iRecruit, which provides colleges with the expertise to use online recruiting tools effectively.

TargetX has also developed a reputation in higher education for objective and expert counsel. The company offers a popular series of one-day workshops for admissions and marketing officers, provides presentations at dozens of conferences, seminars and workshops around the country, produces a weekly online newsletter containing tips and trends for college recruiters and marketers, and generates the only podcast devoted to student recruiting and college marketing.

The Philadelphia 100 was founded in 1988 to publicly identify, recognize and promote successful companies in the Greater Philadelphia region.
