The Wild West Film Fest Presents "The State of Your World" Comedy Shorts Competition

The State of Your World competition asks filmmakers to create a comedy short film no longer than 2 minutes long.

Kansas City, Kansas (PRWEB) November 10, 2005 -- The Wild West Film Festival is presenting "The State of Your World" comedy shorts competition. The unique festival is asking filmmakers to create a comedy vision of current world events. "We are hoping to find unique and funny perspectives from many different filmmakers from around the world" says Christopher Dorsey the festival coordinator.

The short films must be no longer than 2 minutes in length and they will be shown at the 3rd Wild West Film Festival this Spring. The top placing winners will be broadcast on the web and the first place winner will receive a cash prize. Films must either be mailed or e-mailed before January 1, 2006.

"When you watch the news it can be hard to find much humor in the world these days." Dorsey commented. "That's the real challenge for filmmakers." The festival is open to all ages and will be judged by industry professionals.
