Wholesale Sunglasses Dealer Offers Tips On Selling Goggles and Sunglasses During The Winter

Sale of sunglasses and goggles goes down during the winter months. Arun Agrawal of www.RentABlogger.com recently interviewed Kirk Bachelder of www.CTSwholesalesunglasses.com who offers hot tips to help you run your show without bothering about this slowdown.

(PRWEB) November 10, 2005 -- Kirk Bachelder of www.CTSwholesalesunglasses.com recently offered hot tips on maintaining the sunglasses sales during the dull winter months in an exclusive interview. Here are the excerpts from that interview:

Arun Agrawal: How hard is it to sell goggles and sunglasses during the winter time?

Kirk Bachelder: Sunglass sales depends on your location and the traffic flow. I have noticed that our customers do quite well selling goggles and sunglasses in locations like ski lodges during the winter.

AA: What areas in United States see the highest sales of sunglasses during the winter?

KB: Places like California and Florida where the sun shines year around, seem to do the best.

AA: Do you have any suggestions on what types of displays or things can help us improve our sales?

KB: Having the sunglasses and goggles in a visible location where people can see them and try them on easily, always helps. We offer many different styles of sunglass racks that work very well for displaying the sunglasses. One of our most popular styles of displays is the counter top rack that holds 44 pairs. This is a very low priced display and gets excellent response. The goggles display nicely on a counter top or in a show case.

Snow skiers always need goggles because of the intense reflection of sunlight from the snow surface.

AA: For people starting their own business can you give them an idea on how profitable the sunglass and goggle business is?

KB: This is a very nice thing about the sunglass business - it is very profitable. On average our retailers sell the sunglasses for $8.95 per pair and the goggles for $14.95. They buy these from us as low as $1.33 per pair. This affords them a profit on a sunglasses sale of around $7.00 and on goggles, around $12.00.

As you can see this is a very lucrative business and the nice thing is people always need sunglasses. People are always breaking them or losing them.
