Rafte & Company’s Rebecca Cooke To Moderate “Why Law Firms Fail” At The Managing Partner Forum for Texas Law Firms

Forum focusing on law firm management issues expected to draw managing partners from prominent firms across Texas.

(PRWEB) November 11, 2005 -- Rebecca Cooke, vice president of Rafte & Company, is scheduled to moderate the panel discussion, “Why Law Firms Fail,” during The Managing Partner Forum for Texas Law Firms on Nov. 30th. Rafte & Company is a leading provider of business strategy and technology solutions for law firms and other professional services firms.

A recent national survey of failed and successful law firms revealed a number of factors that can be used as predictors as to whether a firm will survive. “Why Law Firms Fail,” will review the results of the survey, and then discuss them with panelists Gary W. Miller, Esq., chair, Business Group, Boyar & Miller, PC and Robert L. Waters of Chamberlain, Hrdlicka, White, Williams & Martin. They will provide concrete examples of how they have built and maintained a culture where lawyers work together to achieve superior performance.

“Law firms sometimes overlook intangibles, such as the degree to which everyone at a firm shares a common vision, culture and strategic intent, but they can be among the most important predictors of a firm's success,” said Cooke. “I look forward to discussing how internal consistency is essential for a firm is to put forth a coherent and compelling message to its markets.”

The second annual Managing Partner Forum for Texas Law Firms will provide insights on management issues and offer unique peer networking opportunities. It is scheduled from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 30, at Four Seasons Hotel Houston, 1300 Lamar Street in Houston. For a complete agenda and additional information, go to www.ManagingPartnerForum.org.
