(PRWEB) November 13, 2005 -- Merle Means a talent agent with more than 15 years joins the staff of Go-See G.I.F.T.S.

A native of the Philadelphia area, D. Merle Means brings substantial industry knowledge to you. With a true understanding of the business, Means touts more than 15 years of experience, spanning all levels of the spectrum of talent. Means relishes the opportunity to supply clients and talent with the bridge that will allow both sides to meet.

Means entered the industry when he began working for a well established model and talent agency in the 1980’s, whose credits at that time included more than 300 national commercials and print work. It was there that he tuned an intrinsic business sense into a real working knowledge of all aspects of the industry.

Means spent the last two years as Vice President of one the most successful online talent companies in the country. During this time he managed over 700 clients including The Tyra Banks show, MTV, AOL, many top producers, casting directors and fashion photographers.

Means recent projects include, 50 Cent Video, Law & Order, 10 girls in Maxim Magazines top 100, King Magazine, Dub, Bon Jovi Video, Adidas, Seventeen Magazine, Wal-Mart commercial, One Life to Live, just to name a few. With Means’s connections in LA & NY he works on more than 80 national jobs per day. Go-See (Similar to an audition, you visit a client to whom you will show your portfolio) G.I.F.T.S (Giving Information For Talent Success)
Go-See G.I.F.T.S was founded in 2003 in aims of helping talented individuals at every stage of their career. That is our mission: to keep models modeling, and actors acting; to assist those with talent who are getting started in the right direction by providing them with exclusive casting calls, and arranging photo shoots with top photographers and pointing them to legitimate contacts to work with. Having over 15 years of experience in this business, we wanted to provide both aspiring talent, and seasoned vets with the numerous contacts and knowledge that we have been blessed to accumulate over the years, and G.I.F.T. this information to help them succeed. We have met hundreds of people in our career who we felt were just getting the wrong information.

Over the years, we have been asked questions many times, such as: “What steps do I need to take to get started,” “Who should I go to for my headshots/portfolio,” or, “Where should I send the photos once I get them,” “How do I avoid the many pitfalls and obstacles of this industry?” “Where should I go for acting classes?” and “Are modeling classes, or conventions worth the money? People are constantly asking us if they have “the look”. Our role, recently, has been not only to connect with people in hopes of finding some great talent, but also, and more importantly, to give them information that we have been blessed to receive over the years. Not only are we interested in helping people break into business, but we are really just focused on bettering the industry by offering an honest service.
