Marotta Recognized for Quality Performance

Marotta Controls has been once again honored by the Defense Supply Center Columbus (DSCC) as one of the Government’s best suppliers.

Montville, New Jersey (PRWEB) November 14, 2005 -– Marotta Controls has been once again honored by the Defense Supply Center Columbus (DSCC) as one of the Government’s best suppliers.

The award was presented by Commander Navy Rear Admiral Charlie Lilli at an Automated Best Value System (ABVS) award ceremony, held during the Land & Maritime Supply Chain’s Business Conference and Exhibition.

Companies that qualify as ABVS award winners have met the stringent quality and delivery requirements established by the Defense Logistics Agency. The ABVS, a computerized system, collects a vendor’s past performance data and translates it into a numeric score, ranging from zero to a perfect 100. Marotta received a robust score in the range of 98.0 to 98.9 for their on-time delivery and quality rating.

DSCC, which is located in Columbus, Ohio, is known to more than 25,000 military and civilian customers and is teamed with more than 6,000 suppliers of weapons systems and spare parts. A field activity of DLA, which is in Ft. Belvoir, Virginia, DSCC manages more than 6 million orders annually and accounts for more than $2.8 billion in annual sales.
