New book "Connection Parenting" presents paradigm in parenting–connection instead of coercion.

“Spending ten minutes a day connecting one-on-one with your child can make the difference between cooperation and conflict,” says author, Pam Leo.

In her new book, "Connection Parenting - Parenting through Connection instead of Coercion through Love instead of Fear" (Wyatt-MacKenzie ISBN 1932279172), veteran parenting educator, Pam Leo offers practical parenting tools for building and maintaining a healthy, strong, parent-child bond in today's hectic lifestyle. “The level of cooperation parents get from their children is usually equal to the level of connection children feel with their parents. Maintaining a consistent, loving, parent-child connection is essential to our children's physical and emotional well-being and the key to our effectiveness as parents,” says Leo.

Leo's book, released November 1, 2005, has already received critical acclaim for its profound importance to the parenting community.

Christiane Northrup, MD, author of "Mother-Daughter Wisdom", says, "Connection Parenting is utterly transformational. If all new (and seasoned) parents and grandparents read and applied its wisdom, the world would be transformed. Bravo!”

Joseph Chilton Pearce, author of "Magical Child", writes, “No other issue facing us today is so critical as this work of hers. I can't recommend 'Connection Parenting' highly enough and will surely promote it at every opportunity.”

Ms. Leo's book is derived from more than thirty years of independent, human-development research. Her research includes over 55,000 hours of caring for and observing children, and sixteen years spent listening to and learning from the traditional parents, non-traditional parents, expectant parents, attachment parents, divorcing parents, single parents, teen parents, foster and adoptive parents, incarcerated parents, grandparents, childcare providers, teachers, and family support professionals who have attended her Connection Parenting™ series, “Meeting the Needs of Children.”

Pam Leo is an instructor for the Academy for Coaching Parents, International and a founding board member of the Alliance for Transforming the Lives of Children. She resides in Gorham, Maine with her granddaughter whom she is home-schooling and co-parenting.

"Connection Parenting" is available at your local bookstores, Amazon, and through the author's website, http://www.connectionparenting.com.
