Dr. Michael Kelley has been a member of the CxO Advisory Council since 2004, and continues to serve on the Presidential Business Advisory Board since 2001.

The event to take place on November 18th will be a RSVP only, limited to the top 40 world's foremost authorities and experienced practitioners within the Information Security industry.

The CxO Advisory Council is not for everyone, and will be focusing on those public/private partners who are already making strides with nnovative approaches.

Dr, Kelley will also be joining other CxO’s for a private dinner at Mt. Vernon, where around 40 advocates from congress, the federal agencies, and industry will be meeting.

The goals of the CxO Advisory Council is to create a standards of practice for a conflict free, inter-agency & inter-governmental information interchange focused on advancing our national information sharing and information protection objectives. This effort applies proven principles used in mitigating conflicts of interests and common failure patterns associated with major IT programs. GAO, IDG and Gartner estimate that 72% of all major IT programs in government fail to deploy any value, costing the tax paying $21.3 Billion/year. When looking at the challenges documented in both the 9/11 Commission reports and the recent hurricane disaster responses, it is clear that we need to collaborate more effectively in industry leveraging best practices and lessons learned. On September 30th, 80 dedicated patriots converged to work together and make a difference.
